Finding Motivation in the World of Social Selling
I am the queen of procrastination for the next time you have a great idea 💡 don’t start a blog. especially if you are a procrastinator every thing gets set on the to do list and it never gets done. So I find it sometimes a challenge to get motivated and I easily get disappointed (no social ques behind a screen. But in the last three years of stepping out of my comfort zone and stepping into social selling. Honestly I still find it difficult to focus but this is what I have put together..
Social selling, a digital-first approach to sales, can be both exhilarating and demanding. The constant need to adapt to changing algorithms, build relationships online, and navigate the fast-paced nature of social media can sometimes lead to burnout and a lack of motivation. However, finding motivation within this challenging field is essential for success. Here are some strategies to help you stay motivated in your social selling journey.
1. Set Clear and Achievable Goals
I have so many note books and to do lists and scribble pads but a well-defined goal provides a clear direction and a sense of purpose. Break down your larger goals into smaller, more manageable steps. This will help you stay focused and track your progress. When you achieve these smaller milestones, you’ll gain momentum and feel motivated to keep going.
2. Visualize Your Success
Imagine yourself achieving your goals and celebrating your successes. This visualization can be a powerful tool to motivate you during tough times. Create a vision board I made a digital one on Canva or mental image of your desired outcome to keep you inspired.
3. Celebrate Your Wins
Every achievement, no matter how small, is a step closer to your goals. Celebrate your wins, whether it’s closing a deal, reaching a new follower milestone, or simply completing a task. This positive reinforcement can boost your motivation and keep you going. I recently just celebrated two people joining my team.
4. Learn from Setbacks
Setbacks are a natural part of the sales process. This is the toughest part for me Instead of dwelling on my failures, I should view them as opportunities to learn and grow. I need to start to analyze what went wrong, identify my areas for improvement, and use these experiences to develop resilience and perseverance. it doesn’t matter how but try as many different ways as it takes to find your groove and dont be scared to do it
5. Network with Like-Minded Individuals
Surround yourself with people who share your passion for social selling. Join online communities, I recently join the super affiliate academy via the skool network (will edit and place the link here, its aloud me to reboot my business, I hope to attend a lot industry events have a few in the planner its just whether I will be able to have time to get things organized a hiatus and sickness meant that I haven’t had chance to organize things, through my job at beyond beauty club. I have had the chance connect with other professionals on social media. Building our own supportive network can provide encouragement, advice, and a sense of belonging. I dont know where I would be with out you ladies much love.
6. Stay Updated on Industry Trends
The world of social selling is constantly evolving. Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices. This will help you stay ahead of the competition and feel confident in your abilities.
7. Find a Mentor or Coach
A mentor or coach can provide guidance, support, and accountability. They can offer valuable insights, help you overcome challenges, and keep you focused on your goals. Through the company I am affiliate of we give and receive regular trainings and webinars to help guide many of use starter level entrepreneurs a guided but not scripted way to use social media to your advantage, so for example you dont just get my knowledge, you also get the knowledge of other aesthetics’ and beauty specialists plus Dr Simon Ourian himself even takes time to support us all the way from la
8. Take Care of Yourself
Your physical and mental health are crucial for maintaining motivation. Prioritize self-care activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and sufficient sleep. The older I get the more I realize I have problems my whole life, including being misdiagnosed with depression and anxiety when it is quite possible that I am on the adhd waiting list. Taking care of yourself will help you feel energized, focused, helping get you ready to tackle the challenges of social selling.
9. Practice Gratitude
Focusing on gratitude can shift your perspective and improve your overall well-being. I try to do this at night before i sleep helps me clear my mind a little. I try to take time each day to reflect on the things you are thankful for, both personally and professionally. This practice can boost your motivation and help you to maintain a positive mindset.
10. Find Inspiration in Others
Look for inspiration in successful social sellers or entrepreneurs who have overcome challenges. I am forever fan Girling with the greats in our company. I am for example working with someone who I watched on Saturday morning tv when I was younger. To my own downlines and there talents one does facial massages and treatment like henna brows etc. to another whos tik toks are amazing go check them out ( edit will have links) Their stories can motivate you to persevere and achieve your own goals.
